  • Tom Walsh
    Chief Executive Officer, Software

    Tom Walsh is Chief Executive Officer of Kaufman Hall’s Software division, with responsibility for the firm’s Axiom Software Suite.

    Mr. Walsh guides Kaufman Hall's software strategy and oversees product development and related services, including sales, implementation, training, and support. With more than 25 years of experience with software enterprises, Mr. Walsh helps to ensure that Kaufman Hall clients have the right tools to remain competitive and address rapidly evolving technology and business needs.

    Mr. Walsh has served in a variety of customer markets including multi-national corporations, large partnerships, small businesses, and government customer segments. His many areas of expertise include guiding market expansions, customer engagement initiatives, and strategic product planning and development.

    Mr. Walsh held numerous executive roles spanning 20 years with Thomson Reuters in both the U.S. and abroad. He was a Senior Vice President and Managing Director in the Tax and Accounting Division, where he led several global enterprise software businesses through various stages of maturity including rapid growth, SaaS development and migration, business re-sets, and acquisition integration. Mr. Walsh’s experience also includes time leading the creation and subsequent expansion of European, Middle Eastern, and African business operations including business cultural integration and regional commercial channel expansions.

    Mr. Walsh holds a B.S. in Accounting with a concentration in Finance from the University of Wyoming.

  • Javan Smith
    Vice President of Development

    Javan is the Vice President of Development at Kaufman Hall for the firm’s Axiom Software platform. He has designed and built large, scalable enterprise applications in the finance and e-commerce industries and end-user products in healthcare, electronic design automation and software configuration management.

    He has more 16 years of software development and management experience, including architecting, developing and leading technical teams. Having managed quality assurance, IT and engineering teams, Javan has built a reputation for providing unmatched quality and innovation across the disciplines he oversees.

  • Jared Hodgson
    Vice President of Technical Services

    Jared is the Vice President of Technical Services and Support for Kaufman Hall’s Axiom Software. He has more than 10 years of experience working in all phases of software implementation and post-implementation support using a variety of enterprise performance management applications. With a high level of technical proficiency and industry expertise, he has supported some of the largest and most complex software environments around the world.

    His deep experience with hundreds of successful enterprise software implementations guides Kaufman Hall's high standards for customer service. Jared previously held positions as a Financial Analyst and Business Systems Analyst.

  • Abe Cohen
    Vice President of Marketing

    Abe is the Vice President of Marketing for Kaufman Hall’s software division. He leads the marketing function including market analysis, messaging, branding, advertising, demand programs, events, PR, web, social media and communications. Prior to joining Kaufman Hall in September 2012, Abe held a variety of leadership positions during his 12 year career at IBM, and was most recently the Director of Business Analytics Marketing.

    With a proven track record of creating innovative marketing campaigns to build brands, capture market share and bolster client satisfaction, Abe has built a strong reputation for leadership and integrity in building and managing marketing teams in the Enterprise Software industry. Abe has an M.B.A. in Marketing from Boston University and a B.S. in Economics from Willamette University.

  • Ken Levey
    Vice President, Financial Institutions

    Ken is the Vice President for Financial Institutions at Kaufman Hall, where he spearheads Axiom Software product and business development strategies for banks, credit unions and other financial institutions. He brings over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry to his role. Prior to Kaufman Hall, Ken was the Senior Director of Banking Analytics at SAP BusinessObjects.

    Ken started his career in financial services at Bear Stearns in New York and then became the Vice President of Asset/Liability Management at Seamen’s Bank for Savings. For 17 years, Ken held a senior position at IPS-Sendero (Fiserv) where he oversaw the asset/liability management, funds transfer pricing implementation and consulting departments.

    Ken is currently a board member for the Association of Management Information in Financial Services (AMIfs), and serves as an instructor at their Performance and Profitability Management Institute.

  • Kris Kildahl
    Vice President of Human Resources

    Kris is the Vice President of Human Resources for the Kaufman Hall software division. She brings more than 20 years of Human Resources Management experience and oversees all aspects of the HR function, including recruiting and onboarding, strategy, compensation, benefits, performance management, organizational development and corporate culture.

    Exposure to a variety of industries and settings gives her a broad perspective on how to leverage human resource practices to maximize benefits to the organization and its employees. Prior to joining Kaufman Hall, Kris held HR Management positions in banking, manufacturing, private practice consulting, public sector and non-profit organizations.

  • Justin Lindsay
    Director of Alliances

    Justin is the Director of Alliances at Kaufman Hall’s Axiom Software division. Justin is responsible for managing global Reseller, Distributor, and Strategic Alliance relationships. Justin has more than 15 years of software industry experience focused on Channel enablement, sales, and sales leadership. His diverse skill set has helped create a growing Partner ecosystem at Kaufman Hall that has had a significant impact on the overall growth of the company.

    Prior to joining Kaufman Hall, Justin created successful Channel programs at Allscripts and Caradigm. At Allscripts, Justin grew channel revenue by 147% over a three year period. Additionally, Justin created an extensive partner enablement and recruiting program at Caradigm and is credited with creating several high value Partnerships.

  • Tony Ard
    Vice President, Higher Education

    Tony Ard is the Vice President for Higher Education at Kaufman Hall where he spearheads Axiom Software product and business development strategies for Higher Education institutions. He has more than 15 years in the Enterprise Performance Management industry and is widely recognized for delivering innovative solutions with a focus on client satisfaction.

    Previous to Kaufman Hall, Tony worked for SAP and Business Objects bringing industry solutions to market for education, public sector, healthcare and others. He has delivered software systems for enterprise performance management processes from budgeting, strategic planning, capital planning, and forecasting. Prior to joining the software business, Tony worked in finance and IT project management for 3 Fortune 500 firms.

  • Jason Hahn
    Senior Vice President of Global Software Sales

    Jason is the Senior Vice President of Global Software Sales at Kaufman Hall. His responsibilities focus on directing the business development efforts and extending the firm’s industry-leading consulting and software capabilities for financial performance management. Jason has considerable experience directing and managing software sales organizations, and has more than 20 years of experience in all aspects of healthcare and enterprise technology, including financial reporting, clinical and quality decision-support, consulting, and software solutions.

    Prior to joining Kaufman Hall, Jason was the founding business development partner for the enterprise SaaS technology firm CarexTech, where he built the company’s sales and marketing function. Prior to that, he was the Senior Vice President of Sales and Client Management at Press Ganey Associates in South Bend, Indiana. Jason has an M.B.A. in Finance from the University of Notre Dame and a B.S. in Business from Ball State University.

  • James Bodan
    Executive Vice President of Healthcare Software

    James is the Executive Vice President of Healthcare Software at Kaufman Hall. With more than 20 years of experience combining business and technology leadership, he is responsible for managing the firm's software product portfolio and client services including implementation, training, and support. James brings proven expertise to Kaufman Hall's pursuit of delivering the most practical and effective software tools to healthcare executives. His background includes technology strategy, innovation, product management, software design and development, project management, organizational change management, and professional services delivery.

    Prior to joining Kaufman Hall, James was a Managing Consultant for Keane, where he served as a client's Chief Information Officer responsible for all aspects of their IT operations. Additionally, he has held leadership positions within United Healthcare, specializing in transformative technology projects.

    Director of Solution Engineering

    Tom is the Director of Solution Engineering and Industry Lead for Emerging Verticals at Kaufman Hall, where he manages the product and business development strategies for Axiom Software and leads the Solutions Engineering team. Tom has more than 20 years of experience in Enterprise Performance Management.

    Previous to Kaufman Hall, Tom worked for several enterprise software firms, including SAP, Business Objects, Longview, and Fiserv in roles including consulting, implementations, training, client support, product management, business development, and solutions engineering. With a proven and diversified background in enterprise software, Tom has built a reputation as a collaborative, innovative, results-focused team player and management team member.
